Mun Matcha is a conceptual tea brand that blends Japanese and Somali cultural influences through a modern, design-forward lens. Rooted in the values of simplicity, community, and culture, the project reimagines the traditional tea experience as a calm and intentional practice rather than a fast-paced routine.

The brand identity draws inspiration from organic forms, natural textures, and a muted, earthy color palette accented with subtle, vibrant tones. Visual elements reflect a balance between minimal Japanese aesthetics and the warmth and richness of Somali culture, creating a unique and cohesive design language. This project explores how branding can evoke feeling and atmosphere. From logo development to packaging and digital application, each touchpoint is designed to feel thoughtful, tactile, and grounded. The goal was to create not just a product, but a sensory experience that encourages users to slow down, connect, and engage with tea in a more meaningful way.
